Our Story
How a bit of fun became something special.
It started with a bit of fun — and ended up making people cry.
I never set out to start a business. I'd discovered how to create music and started experimenting — playing with lyrics, trying different styles, seeing what was possible. Just a hobby.
The very first song I made was for my son Oscar and his dog Ava. Just a fun, personal track about the two of them. But when people heard it, something shifted. Friends and family started asking. A birthday song for Mum. An anniversary track. Something for the kids. Every time, the same reaction — tears, laughter, people playing it on repeat.
Then came the one that really proved it. A Christmas song for friends of the family — a festive number about Lola and Martha getting excited for the big day, with Mum and Dad trying to hold it all together. They loved it so much it's become an annual tradition. Every year they ask for a new one. It's part of their Christmas now.

That's when it clicked. There's something powerful about hearing your own name, your own memories, set to music. A personalised mug sits in the cupboard. A personalised song makes a grown man cry at his birthday party.
Song For You grew from that simple idea: everyone deserves a song that's really, truly theirs.
Now, from Cumbria, we craft bespoke songs for people all over the UK. Every order starts the same way those early ones did — with a real story. You tell us about the person you love, the memories that matter, and the little details that make your relationship special. We turn it into an original song that captures something no shop-bought gift ever could.
Every name, date, place and inside joke you tell us is checked against your lyrics before you approve them — the step we call Story Verification. You remain in control of the final words before production begins.
