Refund Policy

Every song we create is completely unique. Once our team begins work on your brief — writing lyrics, verifying your story details, and producing your music — that work cannot be reassigned or resold to anyone else. For this reason, all orders are final once production has commenced. This is consistent with Regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which excludes the standard 14-day cooling-off right for clearly personalised goods.

That said, you will never receive a song you haven't approved. We send you the full lyrics before production begins, you can request changes, and nothing is recorded until you've signed off every word — and every package includes a round of revisions at the lyrics stage. If we can't reach you to approve your lyrics, we'll close your order after 7 days with a full refund (see section 4).

Our quality guarantee means that if we make a mistake — misspelling a name, getting a date wrong, or missing a detail that was clearly included in your brief — we will correct it at no extra cost, typically within 48 hours of you letting us know. Every package also includes one round of revisions, used when you sign off your lyrics — request as many changes as you like in that single submission and they become your final version. Further rounds after sign-off are £10 each. Any post-delivery request must reach us within 14 days.

If you change your mind immediately after placing your order and contact us before our team has started work on your brief, we may be able to cancel and issue a full refund at our discretion. Please email hello@songforyou.co.uk as soon as possible — we aim to respond to cancellation requests within 4 business hours. We cannot guarantee cancellation once production has started.

There are circumstances where we will close your order and return your money in full:

• If lyrics are not approved within 7 days of us sending them for your review, we will close the order and issue a full refund. We will notify you by email before doing so.
• If required media files are not received within 7 days of our request (Signature package only), we will close the order and issue a full refund. We will notify you by email before doing so.
• If we cancel your order for any reason on our side, a full refund will be issued promptly.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.

We have a strong track record of resolving concerns and we want you to feel proud of what we've created together.
